Yashmine and Dominique started their creative journey in 2018 that would soon blossom into the vibrant and innovative world of the ceramic studio that exists today, creating one of a kind ceramic art pieces.
The duo draws inspiration from the rich history of ceramics while infusing their work with a contemporary flair, capturing the essence of both tradition and modernity in each piece.
The rhythm of nature
Unlike conventional ceramic studios that create by order, Atelier Renée operates on the principle of organic creation. The air within the studio hums with creative energy, and the artists move with a harmonious rhythm, guided by the clay itself.
To create a natural stone look, Yashmine and Dominique never color glaze their ceramics. Instead real pigments are being used to colour the clay, adding patterns following the nerikomi technique, resulting in unique colour schemes.
The artists allow the medium to guide their hands, shaping their creativity and ideas. Because of this approach, artworks are not made on command.
